About Mulethi (Glycyrrhiza glabra)
Mulethi is one of Ayurveda’s most versatile herbs – known as Yashtimadhu in Sanskrit, Jethimadh in Hindi, and Licorice or Sweet Wood in English. It is widely used across India, China, Spain, Russia, Iran, Italy and the Mediterranean region. Mulethi is rich in glycyrrhizin, flavonoids, polysaccharides, saponins, pectins, Vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, C and E, and minerals including calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, selenium, silicon, sodium and zinc.
